While I can relate to going through one open heart surgery, I can't imagine going through five, especially at such a young age... your girl is such a fighter. I'm sure as she grows up, she'll come understand what a gift she has been given, and also what a gift she is to those around her! Thanks for listening, reading, and affirming my journey.

Peace,
MayaJoyAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12591530928167082898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8302295676523855428.post-50354514594410704862012-09-19T18:47:22.044-07:002012-09-19T18:47:22.044-07:00It was great to read your story from a child's...It was great to read your story from a child's (adult) perspective. My daughter who is 2 1/2 was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS)and has underwent 5 open heart surgeries and 2 intestinal surgeries due to the complications from her heart. I truly hope she is just as sassy, fun-loving, and positive as you are about your whole experience. We LOVE PCH and would never go anywhere else! They have some of the best surgeons, nurses, and care teams that we have ever come across! I am glad everything went well for you and god bless you through all of your future endeavors.Amberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02279106493186736892noreply@blogger.com
